Bio:
Anthony Edwards is strong and athletic at the Shooting Guard position. Many have him as the top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Edwards has proven to be a great scorer in his Freshman season with the Bulldogs averaging nearly 20 points per game. He projects to be an above average scorer at the NBA level but the question is is will he be an Andrew Wiggins type player who scores a lot on terrible teams and can never be the go to player on a good team or will he be a Dwayne Wade type player who is a many time All Star.
NBA Comparison: Dwayne Wade / Andrew Wiggins / Donavan Mitchell
Edwards definitely has the talent to be as good as Donavan Mitchell in his first few years withe the ability to turn into a Dwayne Wade type of career. This would be the hope for any team deciding to take him in the top three. Mitchell, in his third year, was already selected to his first All Star game and has averages 24 points per game the last two seasons on a really good Jazz team. The not so ideal career path would be another SG/SF who was drafted first overall, Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins put up a lot of points with the Wolves but never made any All Star games in his 5 seasons there. Now Wiggins is projected to be the third option on a Warriors team next year or potentially traded again
