Tyler Herro’s Draft Stock Elevating?

Just a week ago Tyler Herro was slated in the low to mid 20’s of the 2019 NBA Draft. Now, with workouts for the Heat, Celtics and Pistons (who have picks 13, 14 and 15) it seems his stock has greatly improved and is likely he won’t slip past 15 in this draft.

Herro is quoted as saying “My stock has risen from workouts and stuff like that. At first it was like 15-30 and now it’s like 11-20”

Herro’s ability to be a potentially outstanding 3 and D player is very valuable, especially to get in the middle of the first round. Herro projects to be a solid scorer in the NBA such as Richard Hamilton and could be a Trevor Ariza type player with an even higher scoring upside.

The Celtics were reportedly infatuated with Herro at his workout with them and with all their picks, could potentially try to move up one to three spots to select him. Herro could be a reach this high in the draft but his potential is worth the risk. One area he could improve is his athleticism to make up for his short wingspan and it has been reported that already since leaving Kentucky he has improved his body.
